- Alternatively, log in to your internet banking or mobile banking if nominee update is available online.
- Online nominee changes are supported by select banks with e-KYC or OTP verification.
- For offline updates, carry your photo ID proof.
- Request a nominee update form from the customer service desk or download it online.
Fill Out the Nomination Change Form
- Enter your account number, full name, and new nominee details.
- Include the nominee’s full name, relationship, age, and address.
- Indicate whether it is a new nomination, a change of nominee, or cancellation.
- Sign the form in accordance with your account signature records.
- For joint accounts, all account holders may need to sign the request.
Provide Required Documents
- Normally, no documents are required from the nominee.
- Submit a self-attested copy of your ID proof (e.g., Aadhaar, PAN).
- In case of minor nominees, provide guardian’s name and details.
- If updating online, the bank may ask for OTP-based authentication.
- Some banks may request a photo of the nominee or guardian, though this is optional.
Processing and Confirmation
- The bank verifies the form and updates nominee details in the system.
- A confirmation SMS or email is sent after successful update.
- Updated nomination is visible in the account profile or passbook.
- Processing time is generally 1 to 3 working days.
- You may request a copy of the updated nomination for your records.

- Only one nominee can be registered per account.
- Nominee acts as a custodian—not necessarily a legal heir.
