Non-Resident Indian (NRI) Status

  • Can open all types of NRI accounts.
  • OCI card and passport copies required for verification.
  • Must comply with RBI and bank-specific norms.

Seafarers and Mariners

  • Individuals employed on foreign ships under valid contracts.
  • Must be sailing under NRI status for more than 182 days.
  • Proof of employment and NRI status is mandatory.
  • PAN card and overseas address required.
  • Bank may require declaration and shipping company letter.

Documentation and Legal Requirements

  • Valid Indian passport and visa/residence permit.
  • Proof of overseas address such as utility bills or bank statements.
  • PAN card or Form 60 as per bank requirements.
